Bergeron Christian
Christian Bergeron (1945 -)
Self-taught artist born in 1945 in Clermont, Charlevoix County. He enlisted in the Canadian Forces at age 17 and after his discharge worked in a paste and paper factory. In 1965 he decided to pursue his passion for art and became a landscape artist. He traveled throughout the region of Charlevoix and roamed the streets of the old section of Quebec City, thus combining country and city in his quest for original material. To capture the authenticity of a landscape he always works out-doors, using a spatula to give spontaneity to his painting. Christian Bergeron is a Member of the Institute of Figurative Arts.
