Born in Montreal in 1946, Pierre Duhamel has been a professional painter for more than 45 years. Pierre worked at the Canadian National Railway for 14 years until he discovered his love for painting. A self-taught painter, he learned and made a name for himself in the art world. He settled in Saint-Bruno (South Shore of Montreal) in 1978 where he worked and left his mark as an artist and an art teacher.

As a figurative painter, he makes us vibrate with his technique and his colors that transports us to a world of sweetness and dreams.

Pierre shares his techniques by teaching his art to many students in several interpretation and art centers in the Montreal area. A master of a brilliant technique, his talent allows him to paint sublime landscapes. Pierre Duhamel is a remarkable artist whose large landscapes and dramatic skies have made him famous. He works mainly with oil but also Inks and watercolor. His works depicts the beauty of nature and reflect a breathtaking luminosity.

Pierre’s work have been featured in more than forty exhibitions, and can be found in some of the most prestigious private and public collections in the country.


Pierre Duhamel is a member of  the "Académie des Beaux-arts du Québec'' (AIBAQ),  the  Institut of Figurative Arts and is an Honorary Member of the Association of Affiliated Painters of the South Shore (AAPARS).
