Boisvert Normand


Normand Boisvert (1950-)
Born in 1950 at Trois-Rivière (Cap-de-la-Madeleine), Quebec. Boisvert is a self-taught artist, he paints in oil in a simplified realistic form, his main subject is the Canadian outdoors that he paints with strong brushstrokes and vivid colors.
Throughout his career He received several honours and awards including: La Minerve Cup in 1977 and first prize at the festival de la peinture du Québec in 1975.
He participated to many group and solo exhibitions: Echo Diffusart, Ottawa 1990/1999. Musée Pierre Boucher, Trois Rivières 1998. Rendez-vous Gallery, Vancouver, 1995/1998.  Stephen Low Gallery, Calgary 1997-1998.  Galerie Perreault, Québec 1995/1998 to name a few.
His work can be found in many public and corporate collections including Bell Canada, Canadian Pacific, Fédération des caisses populaires Desjardin, Trois Riviéres city hall, Red Deer city hall Alberta, Hydro-Québec, Imperial Tobaco, Royal Canadian Mint and more.
