Cantin Roger

Roger Cantin (1930-2018)

Born in Quebec City, he studied there at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Known for his landscapes, figures and interiors. He seeks simplicity of form and colour and creates values of neutral tones which gives his work a wonderful soft romantic atmosphere. He paints in the best traditions of the French impressionists but adds his own uniqueness to his landscapes, scenes of towns, villages and people of Quebec. He produced his fine work in water colours, acrylics, oils and pencil. He participated to numerous group and solo shows and is represented in many public and corporate collections.
