Horik Vladimir
Vladimir Horik is a Canadian painter of Ukrainian descent, he was born in 1939, in Edmonton, Alberta.
At 17 years old, pushed by the desire to travel he joined the army as a paratrooper and lived in several Canadian provinces during the nine years that followed. In the beginning of the 1960’s Horik left the military and settled in Québec to study art at the École des Beaux-arts de Québec
In 1971 Vladimir Horik Moved to Charlevoix where he has been living and working.
Vladimir Horik is an accomplished artist, often mentioned as one of the most talented and influential of his generation. His subjects include scenes of rural regions of Quebec especially the Charlevoix region. He participated to many exhibitions and his paintings are found in many corporate, public and private collections.
