Leclerc Reynald
Reynald Leclerc (1961-)
Born in 1961 in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse on the south shore of Quebec City. He studied architecture at Lévis-Lauzon CEGEP and worked for 2 years as an industrial designer. He was introduced to painting by painter Richard Bergeron and Since 1982 he has been earning a living from his art.
Reynald Leclerc travels throughout Quebec and paints what he sees and feels. His subjects include rural regions of Quebec, streets of Quebec City, river scenes, people and still lifes. He works predominantly with oils. His paintings have great depth, colour and atmosphere, he paints in a simplified realistic form and designs his work with precision. He participated to numerous group and solo exhibitions and his paintings are found in many public and private collections throughout Quebec.
