Delsignore Littorio
Littorio Del Signore (1938-)
Born in Bagaturo de Sulmona, Italy, he studied under P. Del Beato and later at the Ecole d’art d’Annecy, France where he obtained his diploma with highest honours. He has won many prizes (over 30) for his work during his participation in numerous exhibitions and contests since 1960. Came to Canada in 1978 and settled in Quebec. He has a delightful sense of colour and his style ranges somewhere between impressionism and realism in his depiction of landscapes peopled with children and adults. He has exhibited in Italy, France, U.S.A. and in Canada. His solo shows include: Galerie d’Art Français, Mtl. (1983) (1984); Loch Gallery, Wpg. (1984); La Nouvelle Bibliothèque de LaSalle, Que. (1985); Masters Gallery, Calg., (1986) and many more. His work can be found in many private and corporate collections including: IBM Canada Ltd; McNicol Construction, Que.; Hydro Quebec; Nationair Canada; Domtar Corp.; Groupe Laurentien, Que. and others.
