Primiano Patrice
Patrice Primiano (1933-2020)
Born in 1933 at North Bay, Ontario, Primiano studied art at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal, Quebec in 1946. He paints essentially in Oil, skillfully blending realistic and impressionistic techniques to depict scenes filled with authentic atmosphere. His subjects are mainly the streets of Montreal, but also the Quebec landscape.
Throughout his career he received many honours and awards including Grand Prize, 2nd Biennale de peinture Canadienne, Montreal, 1989. Finaliste, Concours des peintres du Québec, Montreal, 1980
He participated to many group and solo exhibitions including Chase Creations, Beconsfield, 98-99; Galerie Symbole Art, Montreal; Galerie d’art l’Écossais, North Hatley, 94-95; Galerie Josette Tilmant, Saint-Sauveur, 1996, Bureau des arts canadiens, Saint-Janvier, Mont-Rolland, 95-96.
